When was the last time you did something for the first time?
For me, it was today.
I went out on a little trip on my own. Being insecure as ever, I planned beforehand in detail of what I plan to do today. From my outfit, to what bus to take, what time should I watch the movie, everything. Of course, life is such that nothing ever goes according to plan.
As such, I missed the bus, alighted at the wrong stop, missed the movie, spent an hour wandering around Marina Square aimlessly while talking to my cousin, Sofea, on the phone, and finally decided to head over to Vivo City to catch the movie at the next screening (14:15).
But no, I wasn't feeling miserable. Not yet (at least I got my hot pepper paste for my ddukbokkie! ^_^)
Have you ever been to the cinema alone?
The ticketing guy gave me the worst seat ever (I wasn't allowed to choose @.@).
A single seat, right at the back, and it's the ONLY occupied one in the whole of the left column.
One look and you know that the person is #foreveralone.
Pa-thé-tique.
So what movie did I watch?
I love the references to other movies.
Twilight
American Beauty
Moulin Rouge
Oh! They even have a tiny part of the epic Cadbury Eyebrows
And I like how I notice details like how the Reds (inferior gnomes) are under the hot sun while the Blues (superior gnomes) are in the shade in the race scene. Or how the camera zooms out from the word 'OVER' to reveal the full word 'MOVERS'. That's what DTVM has made me. lol.
Overall, I would give it a 3.5-4*. Would not watch it again (unless it comes out free on MIO TV).
Back home, I finally tried cooking ddukbokkie (Korean spicy rice cake).
And it looks like this
It's really filling. Gotta admit it's not
really up to my expectation. Oh wells.
Since I'm on food, this is the 'gourmet ramyun' I mentioned in the previous post.
Special ingredient: Cheese.
And this my grandmother's chicken salad. Appetising, much?
Oh! I'm supposed to help out my aunt tomorrow (aka work).
It's $10/h.
Well, nothing to lose, a lot to gain, right?
Good luck to me.
(:
